Weerulin Group

The WEERULIN Group is an international group of companies specializing in unshaped refractory products, led in the third generation as a family business by Robert and Richard Fechner.

The core company is Weerulin, which develops and produces monolithic refractory products as a strong partner for steel plants. The Weerulin Group operates mixing plants and preshape production facilities in Germany, Brazil, and Turkey.

Richard Fechner und Robert Fechner

Dipl.-Ing. Robert Fechner – Studied Metallurgy at the University RWTH at Aachen. Further studies in France (École Centrale) and England (Imperial College). With Weerulin since 1991, serving as Managing Director for Technology, Sales, Production, and Processes.

Dr. Richard Fechner – Studied Law in Freiburg, Münster, and Berlin. Earned a PhD (Dr. jur.) in International Patent Law. Worked for several years as a consultant in international management consulting. With Weerulin since 2002, serving as Managing Director for Finance, Procurement, Human Resources, and Legal Affairs.

In total, the Weerulin Group currently employs 180 people. Together, we produce 60,000 tons of refractory products annually and supply more than 200 steel plants in 35 countries.
